Kali’s Battle

Qualities: Fierce, Truth                    

Goddess Kali is the powerful incarnation of Parvati, Consort of Lord Shiva. She took this ferocious form to destroy the demons and their king Rakatabija who had become all powerful and were torturing the Saints and the Gods. Lord Brahma had blessed him that every drop of blood that fell on the ground a more powerful demon would arise. Goddess Kali stabbed Raktabija with her spear and with her enormous tongue drank the blood from his wound to avoid rebirth of new demons, eventually killing him.

Kali encourages you to face life as it is. She can take on your sense of limited and separate self to uncover your limitless Self that is beyond illusion.
