Kali takes on your darkest fears with an unflinching glaze. She is fierce and benevolent yet her actions are rooted in truth. Most of your suffering comes from stories of your past or predictions of the future. Pain is a part of life, but suffering is a choice. This image of Kali includes a garland of skulls around her neck. They can be seen as false egos, identities and narratives you have created to establish who you are. The skulls have been cut to reveal your true Self beyond the illusion. Kali reminds you to show up for life fully and authentically. She reminds you that the present moment is all we ever have. Connect to your breath in this moment and see that fear is just a rope and not the snake you thought it was.
